Character Design - Elf

 For one of my final characters I decided to create an elf, as my scenario involved the elf sneaking into a troll cave I wanted a dark outfit that was something that could almost act as a camouflage, I also wanted something armourmed but natural and moveable to fit with the elf theme. 

This is my finished character that uses the characteristics I had listed out.

After this I made a finished version that I added colour to, I also made some variations of colours. I'm not sure what colour variation I want to use yet, it may be that certain colours won't work in photogrammetry, so I will need to research this before my final choice is made.

I also made a few rough expressions.

After producing these I decided that the face was a little too pointed and that while I still wanted to keep the pointed chin characteristic, the extreme in this version was too much and made the face look odd. After this I edited the face and made different variations of structure, by changing the jaw and forehead. 

I think this works much better and gives the characters face much more structure. 

Now that I have my first finished character, I need to produce a finished expression sheet, pose sheet, turn around and build sheets for the armature and head.

I also need to develop the second character and have a finished rendition of them. 

Project Check in

After making changes to my project, I did start to stress that I did not have time to complete all the necessary elements that I now need for the pitch bible, which delayed me as I saw the giant list to do and then got overwhelmed and didn't know what to start.  

Over the last couple of weeks I have made a list of what I want to do and then tried to give myself daily goals, I realised on friday that the daily goals I were setting myself were unrealistic for me to achieve, since this I am just making a bullet point list of things I want to work on and then I am picking things off the list that I fancy doing that day. 

It is going to be a push to get this done in time but I should hopefully be ok and get everything I need done for the hand in. 

This week I want to get all my character design completed and have made progress if not have completed all the different design sheets. I have this week off work so I should have more time to work on the drawings.
