New Project proposal/ Pitch Bible Plan

Overall idea - VR and stop motion

Abstract/ brief outline of the idea

  • This project focuses on the first stages of testing and development needed to create an interactive, virtual reality, stop motion animation.

  • initial production processes needed to create characters for stop motion films and then capture these characters digitally using photogrammetry.

  • Characters will be sculpted digitally and then 3D printed, using replacement faces.

  • two possible pipelines

  • one will capture stop motion animation using photogrammetry

  • second will capture a stationary puppet using photogrammetry that will then be input into Maya and rigged digitally to be animated in maya.

  • The final stage of testing will compositing for 3D and 360 video.

  • will identify the first stages of production needed to create an interactive stop motion animation for VR.

Aims and objectives

  • What do you hope to find out?

  • 3D printing translates to photogrammetry

  • Materials testing

  • Testing through practice

Practical work sections

Story

Notes/ things to consider

What the project is covering

3d printing

Photogaraty

In maya

Compositing for 3D

What in the making do I want to explore?

What do you hope to find out?

How 3D printing translates to photogrammetry?

Materials testing - What materials work best in photogrammetry?

What materials work best to make 3D printed puppets?

Testing through practice.

How are you going to do it?

What are you looking to find out?

What are you going to see?

Technical pipeline -

The plan/ schedule for making it all

Points to consider -

Why certain models? - why certain puppets?

Aesthetic? What is the aesthetic going to be?

What would the scenarios be? Draft story or interaction between 2 characters

Schedule? How long will it take? What order do you need to work in?

Character designs sheets - styles of characters, genre/ theme, types or characters, what sheets are needed.

Materials for puppets? What materials do I need? What materials am I going to test? Test materials in photogrammetry scans before making puppets with them.

What will you do with them? What will I use puppets for? What will the outcome be?

Project bible -change to a pitch bible/ project proposal  instead of a research proposal

Possible Characters

Elf
